Afonso Salcedo is a Los Angeles portrait and documentary photographer. His work moves between studio portraiture, editorial commissions and on-the-ground reporting, with an approach shaped by a career in feature-film production and animation.


Whether making a portrait in the studio or covering a story in the field, he works with patience, clear direction and close attention to light, place and the people in front of the camera.
